Does anyone know if any betting shop will offer odds that a major soccer country will not win the world cup?

October 23rd, 2009 by JJB

I recently got involved in soccer betting following my keen interest in club soccer and having moved to the UK that interest has been taken to a new height. As the world cup is coming up in 2010, there are certain teams that one cannot write off as potential winners- England, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy.

If someone wants to bet any of these team will most certainly not go on to win the tornament- will there be any major betting establishment offering odds for this?

On Sky Soccer Saturday, do the team logos rotate at the same speed or different speeds?

October 22nd, 2009 by JJB

On Sky’s Gillette Soccer Saturday programme, during a sound-only report from a match, a graphic is displayed showing the score with the club badges as rotating logos. Do both teams’ logos rotate at the same speed, or does the logo of the winning team rotate faster?

In Scotland when watching the football or soccer we enjoy a pie and a Bovril at half time, what do you have?

October 21st, 2009 by JJB

The typical half time food at a football game (soccer) in Scotland is usually a pie and bovril, I’m curious to know what others eat in different parts of the world.

Will you go to South Africa to watch the soccer world cup?

October 20th, 2009 by JJB

More Americans have bought tickets in South Africa than any other nation – nearly 100,000. Will you go to South Africa to support the USA’s soccer team? I most likely will.
I hope we make it far this time. God bless America.
I don’t like soccer, unless the USA is participating.

where to watch footage of individual soccer players?

October 18th, 2009 by JJB

I do not want professional players, maybe individual game footage of lower league teams that nobody would know. Would YOUTUBE have it or anyone have a link to good ameteur footballers about 16-20 years old. It is a project for school.. Basically it needs to be footage of a soccer game, maybe 45 mins long.. the camera has to focus on one individual player and not the whole team.. Any help?

Isn’t it true that soccer is a superior sport to basketball ?

October 17th, 2009 by JJB

I mean soccer is a fine sport involving your feet which are the powerhouse of movement and the root of man’s ascendency. But basketball – pah – its just tall men mincing around bouncing their balls with their hands.

Do amateur soccer players stand any chance against a team of professional players?

October 15th, 2009 by JJB

As to the amateur team, I’m not referring to people that never or that rarely play soccer, but rather people that always play soccer in their free time with friends.
If that amateur team in question plays 10 times against a professional club, how many games would win?
